Why Does Day Seven Need Financial Support
The cost of sexual addiction – to an individual, to a marriage, to a family, and to society – is quite high. But even the practical side of facing addiction can seem insurmountable for those who seek change.
Simply put, many of our clients’ personal finances have been adversely affected by their lifestyle choices.
We’ve seen a wide spectrum of reasons why our clients have few financial resources to put toward counseling:
- they have drained their bank account to pay for porn.
- they have destroyed their savings paying for access to their online vices.
- they are separated from their spouses and the family is paying to maintain two residences.
The list of reasons is long, but the situation is the same for many clients who reach out to us: they know they need to seek counseling and help, but they are afraid they can’t afford it.
Day Seven has had many clients start counseling when they have been able to afford almost nothing for counseling. But as with many redemptive circumstances, as their lives began to change, their finances improved as well. As they continued making progress in their counseling program, they were in a better position to pay for services.
We are so grateful for our donors who give to help those who would never be able to – on their own – invest in a counseling journey toward restoration.
Your contribution is truly the first step toward hope for those that we serve.
